Rakia Abdullah visited her husband under tight security conditions in Barwon prison yesterday, located at the southeast of Melbourne. Her husband was accused on the charges of being the religious leaders of the radical Muslim and for his active participation in planning a terrorist jihad in Australia.
She is not alone but there are number of other wives and their families who are accused of plotting terrorist attack. They are allowed to visit prison under very strict security. These women are forced to remove their headscarves so that they could be photographed.
The male visitors will not have any such problem in visiting the jails but all these restrictions put on the Muslim women can make them feel reluctant.
