For the first time UAE organized the 13th Arab Women’s Clubs Basketball Championship in Dubai. It was a historic day for the women who had been for long waiting for this victorious moment.
From ten countries, eleven teams are taking part in this competition. Nelke Van Aspert, the CEO of Power Plate, one of the sponsors of the event said that, ‘We want to help our women athletes from the Arab world benefit during this competition’.
The event is already creating stir among the Arabic nations and is welcomed by many as a progressive effort.
