The status of women in Islamic world has always been in question. According to one of the Iranian dissident, ‘being born female is both a capital crime and a death sentence.’ In most of the Muslim world women are not treated as human beings. Men on the name of religion often try to dominate women. This has certainly created a very negative image of Islam regarding women.



But women are also to be blamed to certain extend for their poor status. They have accepted the very notion that women are not equal to men. Being a feminist I am really stunned at their behavior. If the victim will not feel the pain then there is no point shouting about women’s right.
