Despite the orthodox nature of the society and the world of ‘all black abayas’ for women in Iran, a very happening form of art is the new fashion statement of the young women generation of the nation.



Tattoo is the latest craze of the young crowd who just loves to be acknowledged as the hip gang. Women in their early twenties are among the most notorious tattoo freaks: these women cheerfully show off their tattoos while they are with female company, however due to the fear of the authority they keep under cover.



Women in Tehran have covered a long distance, from the strictly religious dress code to the funkiest jackets and veils, Tehran women can be named as the trendsetters of Iran. Now, Tehran is popularly known for its huge group of stylish women, flanking their cute nose pins and designer apparels.



A 24-year-old artist is running a studio in Tehran and his long list of clientele includes largely of women fashionistas. Milad, the young tattoo artists is not all surprised when the teenage girls asks him to draw a tattoo at their most intimate part, even at their breast many a times.



Today, there are dozens of Tattoo studios in Tehran that are catering to the growing demand of the public, though everything is very well hidden from the eye of the religious watchdogs.
