Yemen\'s First Women President



For the first time ever in Yemen, a lady is standing for the Presidential election: but rumours are agog regarding her decision and lot of speculations are going on.



50-year-old Sumayya Ali Rajja, have often come up with lot many innovative projects inspite of her being coming from a very much conservative ambience.



The lucky stars were with the lady as she has quite a liberal family who supported every move she has taken.



Lot of cloudy news are trying to block her way from her full fledged campaign she is carrying out for the forth coming elections: there is a rumor making rounds that she is involved in a dirty deal with a current leader.



Rajja feels that’s the life of Yemen women has been deteriorating over the last 20 years, which made her to take this major step as she wants to bring about changes in the lives of these helpless women and work for their progress.



The biggest problem, the lady is facing right now is that she needs the approval of one of the top most leader of Yemen, Ali Abdullah Saleh.



Rajja’s sudden decision to contest for the election has sparked off large scale controversy: some have even come up to her and questioned sarcastically that whether she is being funded by Saleh himself.



With a strong will power that Rajaa has shown it is unlikely that she can be dissuaded by these trivial things.
