Kalbe Sadiq, senior Vice President of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, has advised Muslims to practice family planning methods and for that reason has encouraged men to use condom and women to use birth control pills.



He further stated that those who do not favor these methods are perhaps ignorant and have no right to misguide others. Elaborating on the issue he said that it is a myth that Islam restricts any kind of family planning methods.



He also added that too many children would not permit proper upbringing of the children, thus defying parents of their foremost duties.
