In the North eastern state of Manipur, Dr Manirudin Sheikh has addressed the people of the entire state to help the community of the Muslim women who is otherwise neglected and considered as more or less an outcaste group.
Dr. Sheikh urged the people to set up more and more Self Help Groups to boost up the status of these economically downtrodden women and make them self independent so that they can earn to keep their family and themselves in a proper state.
For this purpose he said that the entire unit of Muslim’s in Manipur should get decked up to comeup to the level of the other advanced communities. He also said that SHG is the only tool through which the development is possible.
