Many of the Japanese women are converting to Islam to marry Muslim men. According to the Islamic law one who wants to marry a Muslim has to convert atleast in name of Islamic faith. Most of the Japanese women are married to Muslim men who come to Japan in search of work from countries like Iran, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Malaysia.
According to R. Siddiqi, director of the Islamic Center, Japan, women are attracted to Islam because they want independence and Islam is against the moral aggression of women.
