Under the leadership of liberal Saudi King Abdullah, Saudi women are getting opportunities in almost every field.
Despite the ban imposed by the Islamic law that women cannot work along with men, the rubber stamp Consultative Council has recently made a formal appointment of Saudi women advisors in the Council.
According to a close source from within the council, six women have been entrusted with the responsibility of part-time advisors.
Some of these new appointees are academics, the others professionals from various fields. Two of the women have already been given the chance to take part in the female parliamentarian meet, which is scheduled to be held in Bahrain.
