Nazlin Umar, the mother of four, has rapidly acquired the title of ‘Mama Kenya’ and the ‘Iron Lady’ due to her strong and active participation for the Orange Democratic Movement.
But much more then this, is her outstanding work at international and local level, in the field of empowering Muslim women. She has a great passion to work for the rights of the women, particularly pertaining issues of HIV/AIDS , gender disparity and social development.
