As the Muslim religious doctrines goes a Muslim Women is supposed to be covered with the abaya dress and wear their Hijab (head veil) all the time when they are in public places. The aim behind preserving the dress code is to safeguard oneself from the licentious eyes of the male dominated society.

But there are some Muslim women who are seen wearing fitting jeans, tops, skirts but with their Hijab still on. This is an offence to god the religious leaders says.

According to Mulanah Dawood Dhansay of Gaborone West Mosque, the women folk has to wear the dress code laid down by the religious principles so that they don’t become the object of lust for men. He further stated that Muslim women have to adhere to the rule as it is the very basis of Islam religion.

But today’s generations are motivated by negative influences and hence the rape cases are increasing day by day.

My question here is what should be their dress code so as to protect themselves from the men vultures?

Does Islam have any code of conduct for men to look at women as their equal counterparts and not just an object of sex?

Does Islam propagate that if a woman wears tight fitted jeans she should be looked with dirty eyes?

How safe is the woman even she wears loose fitted dress?

What about the 17 years old Nazanin who in spite of observing her dress code was sentenced to death by hanging only because she tried to save her virginity from three rapist??
