Hanife Karakus, daughters of a Turkish immigrant, is a European Muslim. Just like any other devout muslim women she covers her hair, but she also has a law degree and has married to a man of her choice. The couple met on the internet. Karakus became the first woman to become president of France’s 25 regional Islamic councils.
She is an example of a Muslim woman who claims the similar rights as that of her Western sisters without renouncing the path of Islam. It is very true that many in the Muslim world have recognized the importance of education. Women in the Muslim countries are moving to universities, schools, offices and business. Just like any other non- Muslim women these Muslim women also used internet surfing their favorite websites.
It is for very sure that there certainly has come some change in the Islamic world, pertaining to the status of women.
