How could anyone say that Islam does not differentiate with women when men are permitted polygamy, there are still cases of female genital mutilation(FGM). But then before labeling Islam as an anti- women religion one must give a look on the teachings Quran. Misinterpretations must not be gelled with the truth.
In Quran Sura 33 Verse 35 states that Islam not only has granted equality to men and women but has also given the same spiritual status. This Verse is self sufficient in itself to support the fact that before Islam both men and women are equal.
