Gender segregation is a much-debated issue in Iran since time immemorial. To abolish this ‘tag’ forever, Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad while addressing the first International Conference on Women Rights and Responsibilities, has called on every member of the society to stop any discrimination against women.
Accusing the Western world of cheating Iranian women under the disguise of support, the President says that they are undermining the important role that women had been playing in the society since ages.
The president has made an ardent appeal for immediate restoration of the respect that every woman deserves. A brainstorming discussion took place in this regard, where enlightened scholars from over 25 nations participated.
