Hundreds of Iran women thronged the streets in Tehran, protesting against the gender discrimination laws practiced against the women folks.
Among the protestors there were few male members too who were demanding in favor of women equality.
Surprisingly, instead of looking into the matter and providing them with any assurance, the Iran police suddenly started attacking the mob, thereby beating many women and men in the process.
Reuter’s correspondent reports that the police detained nearly 70 people, out of which 42 were women. The police was seen forcefully pushing the protestors to get into the buses, while the rest were facing the ruthless baton attack of the police.
