With the Danish Cartoon rage still not subsiding, the Canadian Media has again created a controversy by interviewing only the male Muslim leaders thereby throwing it hard on the face of the women folk that they are nothing but mere subsidies.



It seems that the western media’s concept of a Muslim’s voice is that of a bearded, staunch, orthodox man and the females are just relegated to nothingness. This is purely absurd and ridiculous.



If a man raises his voice his view points are gulped as the final authority but when a woman tries to speak out something, she is slammed down by the media even the religious leaders as a militant. The connotation most of the times is negative when it comes to Muslim women.



Still this kind of sexist view has not deterred the Muslim Women from making their voice heard all over the globe.



A seminar was recently held at the Harvard University premises on the theme as: Emerging Forms of Muslim Women’s Leadership.’ During this seminar discussions were carried out on the Women’s leadership at large.
