At last it is proved by Anoushe Ansari, an Iranian entrepreneur and a Muslim Woman that the West’s portrayal of the Muslim Women folk as a stereotyped one should better be forgotten.



Just as the way we are proud of Late Kalpana Chawla, the first female Astronaut of India, the entire nation of Iran should cheer the lady for being the first among all the Muslim women to go on this adventurous journey to the space.







Anoushe who is the founder cum president of US-based Telecom Technologies Company, is selected to be a part of the space bound crew entitled Russian Soyuz space mission which will be starting off for the challenging rendezvous next year, i.e. 2007.



In her words: “Exploring space has been my dream since childhood which I am about to realize,’ and being “the first Middle Eastern woman to travel in space is a great honour.”



Anoushe has also been the recipient of the 2000 National Entrepreneurial Excellence award.
