At last, the fall of the largest downtown mosque of San Francisco’s brings smile to the face of hundreds of female Muslim worshippers.
According to an article published in The Amherst Times, women who frequently visited the Darussalam mosque felt discriminated because of the wall that separated both the sexes. However, with the renovation of the mosque and the wall being broken down, now they can hear the preaching of the imam quite clearly.
There are many who are against this new policy and have even gone to the extent of decamping to other rival churches. While majority of the Muslim women are happy that they do not feel excluded, there are few who want the wall back in place.
In short, a controversial debate is gaining momentum between the liberal and the conservative Muslims.
