The British government’s incapability to adopt the proposed legislation that was meant to declare forced marriages illegal is going to aggravate the life of Muslim women across the globe.
Since time immemorial, they are the symbol of tolerance: but how long will they bear the pain?
The minority communities like the Muslims and the Pakistani families in UK have already welcomed the decision taken by the ministers to drop the legislation. The question here is we cannot ignore the fact that between the years 2003 to 2005, 518 is the count of forced marriages alone in London.
However, Commander Steve Allen, a senior official of the Metropolitan Police has accused the government of abandoning the young Muslim girls, thereby pushing them to a ‘dark future’.
