The Dutch anti-discrimination supervisory body ruled out a decision taken by the Dutch school against a Muslim Woman who refuses to shake hands with the opposite sex due to some religious reason put forward by her.

Fatima Amghar, 20 was deterred from taking part in a teacher-training programme, as she refused to shake hands with men who were 12+. She had forwarded an application asking the Dutch School to accept her plea but she was rejected saying that shaking hands were a part and parcel of the program.

This is not the only case of gender problem in Netherlands, even last year a Muslim Woman named Samira Haddad, was facing discrimination when she was vying for a teaching position in an Islamic School.
