A seminar on the topic, ‘Arab Women: Past, Present and Future’, was conducted recently at Cambridge University with the objective to highlight the real situation of Arab women and their varied role in political, economic and social fields.
Shaikha Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of King Hamad and chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Women, while addressing the seminar emphasized that more women from the Arab world should be permitted to go abroad for education.
She said that the society must understand its responsibility towards women and in turn the women must also understand their responsibility towards the society.
