The British government is having a thought to punish families forcing arranged marriages. Many of the immigrants from South Asia, Middle East and Africa are very traditionally bounded, and thus do not prefer their children marrying outside the community. This hardcore attitude of theirs has led to an alarming increase in the number of honor killing.
Girls as young as 13, are are raped and murdered for the family honor. According to data revealed by the the Foreign Office,around 250 to 300 cases of forced marriage are registered every year.
