Mariyah Moten, a 22-year-old woman has kicked off wide spread rage in the Muslim nations due to a recent comment that she has made regarding her identity and of her main projection in life.
Moten is of Pakistani origin: she grew up in Karachi but at some point her family migrated to US and now at 22 she is gaining lot of media attention after she has won the ‘Best in Media’ title at the ‘Miss Bikini’ contest that was held in China last month.
Claiming to be representing Pakistan, the woman has sparked outrage among the conservative Muslim nations: further, she said that she wanted to get Pakistan into the limelight as a modern nation and this for sure has hit the hot cord among the religious groups.
So far, according to the latest updates, the concerned Pakistani authority has said that they will be investigating the case with China.

This is no way to bring Pakistan in limelight. There are many other option still avilable for Ms.Pakistan to highlight culture and identity of people living here.
This is important to highlight even a christian and Hindu living in Pakistan cannot tolerate their daughters clad in bikini exposing just to highlight her country image.
It’s a pitty that she did something without taking permission from government despite of the fact when she doesn’t have a Pakistani passport. She have no right to badge herself as ’Pakistani”.

I don’t think we should make this an issue. Everyone should have a right to follow as much religion as much they wish. We should not force people to act according to our wish. If this bikini contestent girl’s parents have no problem with what she is doing then why should we have any problem. We have a lot of hard work to do to progress in this world. Why are we wasting our time talking about these stuff.
who said she does not carry a Pakistani passport? she should because she was born in Pakistan by two Pakistani parents and did not go to the states until she was much older. So how Rizwan did you get your info??? In the USA you can carry more than one passport - FYI. I believe that she has a right to tell people she is a Pakistani....what is she supposed to say ”im from the moon???”
What it looks like is that she claimed that it was ok to represent her country. She should have told the judges that she is pakistani but they would kill me if they knew what I am doing! So I guess she cant go back to visit Pakistan now?
She should know that everything Haram that goes on in Pakistan is all a big secret in society, and you can never go public with it. Too bad.
