Today in the Arab society, increasing number of women are taking up law for further studies but unfortunately, they do not have proper channels to utilize them.
According to a legal expert, many hurdles are stopping the Saudi women from moving ahead in the law industry. Despite having high qualifications, the social regulations attached to them as women, barely gives them the opportunity to take up the career as a lawyer.
They are not allowed to travel without a male guardian, they are not authorized to move abroad, and the most important of all, they are not yet given the license to practice the profession in the kingdom by the higher authority.
Even though the demand for women lawyers are growing enormously, the graduating female students have to remain satisfied with the job of a legal clerk, a consultant or that of a legal analyst.
