The war-torn nation of Afghanistan warmly welcomed the much awaited fashion show hosted almost after a decade. The gala event was organized in Kabul where Afghan designer Zolaykha Sherzad and Italian designer Isabella Ghidoni displayed their fancy apparels, which they tailored keeping in tune with the traditional theme.
A cheerful group of cultured and rich Afghan women came down to have a taste of the catwalks. Good majority of expatriates graced the occasion as well.
However to the disappointment of many audiences, both the designers had expatriate women walking down the ramp.
Swaying hips in tune with the melodious traditional music played in the back drop, the non-afghani models strutted designer burqas and many other fusion wear.
