About Us

Lending an Ear to Silent Shrieks! As you spell out the term "Muslim Woman", the image flashing across your imagination is that of a lady in a veil, living sheepishly behind the four walls of her house, busy performing the domestic chores...totally oblivious of the world outside. And this sets your mind working, springing one query after the other: does a Muslim woman get a better or worse treatment than her counterpart in other religions? What is the status of a woman in the Muslim community?…So on and so forth. Through "The Muslim Woman" blog, we will try to project the "real-self" of the person behind the veil, along with the shrieking silence that the male-dominated society has failed to listen to…in an impartial yet forthright manner. You can also look forward to coming across some startling revelations, hitherto disguised as myths. We won't claim that our angle of looking at sensitive issues is the one and only possible angle to look at things in an objective manner. At best, and at least too, it can give you an insight into one of the most-talked-about issue of our times. The more we hear from you, the better we would go in dealing with the issues relating to the Muslim women worldwide. After all, what kind of a debate it would be if it does not accommodate all shades of views? We cannot think of roses without thorns. Can you?
